Position: Senior Project Manager

Reporting To: Managing Director / Principal

Summary:

  • The Senior Project Manager is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities. They will be part of a Project team on large construction projects ranging form $10M to $35M each and will be the main point of contact on Projects ranging from $2M to $8M. The Senior Project Manager will interact with Clients and coordinate with all parties on the Project. They have extensive experience with high-end custom residential projects.

 

Responsibilities 

  •     Play a critical role in the company and manage several projects at once

  •     Work closely with an Executive Project Manager on some projects and manage all aspects of other projects

  •     Interact with Clients and all parties involved in the project

  •     Serve as liaison between vendors and stake holders on the project

  •     Identify the most critical issues facing each project and be able to address and solve

  •     Accurate review of financial data and reporting to the stakeholders

  •     Identify project risks and implement plans to mitigate such risks

  •     Review general contractor and sub-contractor proposals and scope for accuracy and
    completeness

  •    Technical construction knowledge in all major trades

  •    Work to develop and train junior staff within the Company  

  •    Required to drive throughout the Los Angeles to visit client properties. Valid CA drivers license required

  •    Other Duties as assigned

 

Key Results 

  • Accurately manage the budgets of multiple high-end residential projects

  • Analyze and effectively communicate project status to management

  • Ensure compliance with vendor contracts 

  • Work independently and solve problems

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in construction, business or other related field

  • 8 + years of experience working on high-end custom residential projects, either as a general contractor or working for a large general contractor as a Superintendent or Project Manager

  • Superior communicator, comfortable interacting with all parties involved in a project, from ultra-high net worth Clients to general contractors and sub-contractors

  • Polished and extremely professional 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Go getter who can work independently and solve problems

  • Be able to participate in process improvement and strategy 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
